In 1992, their son Lukas, inspired by the heritage of his family and the striking beauty of the caldera, transformed the land into one of the first three accommodations in the area. With a deep-rooted love for Santorini and a natural gift for hospitality, he created a place where guests could feel truly welcomed, not as visitors but as part of something personal and real. Today, the spirit of hospitality lives on through Lukas’ son Charalampos, who lovingly continues the family tradition. Skaros was the capital of Santorini until the 18th century, and after the eruptions of 1707 to 1711, the Venetian noble families decided to settle here. It is one of the best places on the island of Santorini to visit and enjoy the magnificent views of the Aegean archipelago.
