Pain Management Center « THERAPIA SPECIALISTS »
Our clinic is dedicated to providing personalized medical care to eliminate or alleviate pain, with the primary objective of restoring patients’ desired activity levels. We offer cutting-edge pain management services, utilizing modern interventional and non-invasive techniques. Our comprehensive rehabilitation program encompasses tailored exercises, dietary guidance, and proper hydration instructions. We also place particular emphasis on addressing issues related to sexual function that may have been disrupted by chronic pain. The optimization of medication therapy and reduction of reliance on drugs – considering the recent findings that, in most cases, pain is exacerbated by medication – are our ultimate goals.
Pain conditions can be broadly categorized into two major groups based on etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment. The first category encompasses acute pain, serving as an early warning sign of ongoing medical damage arising from chemical, mechanical, or thermal irritation. The second category involves chronic pain, persisting for more than three months, often with an uncertain onset.
In Europe, chronic pain affects one in five adults, totaling approximately 95 million individuals between the ages of 15 and 65, surpassing the number of people affected by diabetes.
Notably, women are more frequently affected by chronic pain, constituting 56% of the chronically ill population in Europe.
It’s essential to recognize that chronic pain among older adults should not be attributed solely to the aging process.Conditions such as diabetes and arthritis in adults are often associated with persistent pain.
Common types of chronic pain include back pain, headaches, cancer-related pain, and neuropathic pain. In Europe, low back pain is the most prevalent form of chronic pain.
Physical pain is not solely linked to tissue damage; it is a complex issue that demands specialized, holistic, and multidimensional approaches.
Some of the most common painful conditions we address include:
